MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a project to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers transforming cooking oil into biodiesel currently benefit from a 20p differential however that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a number of small services in Cornwall presently generate income from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to have the ability to get this sort of market going it does require simply a little bit of lift which is available in the type of tax inescapable."
Biodiesel is a mix of conventional diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
